Swarm was a lightweight, experimental framework from OpenAI that demonstrated handoffs between agents. OpenAI has replaced Swarm with the OpenAI Agents SDK, which it explicitly describes as the production-ready evolution. Today Swarm is only useful for studying the concepts.
